Chapter 10

Chapter 10 helped me understand how the Internet is actually built behind the scenes. I always thought of the Internet as just one big thing we all connect to, but this chapter explained that it’s really made up of a bunch of different networks linked together. It reminded me of a giant web where smaller networks connect to form the huge online world we use every day.

Another thing that stood out to me was how computers and devices communicate across these networks. The book talked about routers and servers, and even though those can sound a little technical, it made sense when I realized they’re basically the “traffic directors” that make sure information gets where it needs to go. Without them, the Internet wouldn’t run smoothly and we’d never get pages, videos, or messages as fast as we do.
