Appendix A


Appendix A has a LOT of information about the origin of the Internet. It teaches us about the most popular domains, computer networks, different type of cables etc.. But personally the most I learned from the appendix A was the difference of circuit switching and packet switching. It was really interesting how you explained that to us in class.

Another thing I learned is that (kbps) are 1,024 bits per second. I always knew theyre smaller than mbps but never rerally knew how much each weighted. Another thing that caught my attention was on page A-13, where they show examples of how long would it take to send typical transmission files on different type of LANs.

I feel like the appendix A showed me more stuff that I didn’t know about in comparison to chapter 1 of our class.
