I have been using the Internet for more than half of my life, and at first  I thought chapter 1 was a bunch of useless information that the whole class knew since we were kids. But after finishing chapter 1 I realized that I couldn’t have been more wrong.

For example URLs,  I did not know that it consists of 4 parts such as the protocol, the domain, the path and the name of the file. I always just copied and pasted it but never knew the complecity of the URL. It really makes you see how everything connects behind the scenes.

I knew a little about cookies, but chapter 1 explained it really well. The rest of the stuff in the chapter were really basic, stuff that everyone should know by now. For example bookmarks, how to open a new tab, and customizing the browser etc..

What caught my attention the most was the private browsing part. I kind of knew that someone must keep track of what youre browsing even in incognito mode, but I never thought that it could stay in your router.
